BONE MARROW BROTH
• Beef bones cut into 1-2 inch pieces, about 5 to 7 pieces, more or less
• 1 large onion, cut into large pieces
• 2 large carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces
• 3 stalks of celery cut into 1 inch pieces
• ½ cup vinegar
Take the beef bones and put them into crock pot. Pour vinegar over them and mix it up.The vinegar helps loosen the marrow before cooking.
Leave standing with nothing else in it for an hour or so. Cut up your onion, carrots and celery, throw in. Fill the crock pot with water and set to warm. Let the heat, time and Mother Nature take care of the rest for 15 to 19 hours.
Put some in your favorite coffee cup or soup mug with a little salt/pepper… Delicious
Save the rest in fridge or freezer.
NEVER MICROWAVE MARROW BROTH!!!
It denatures the proteins.
NEVER BOIL THE MARROW BROTH (Even when cooking)
It breaks down the beneficial nutrients. As soon as you see it bubble a little, lower the heat. It shouldn’t bubble at all.
Regular beef bones are fine, but as with anything you put in your body, try to be careful and mindful of where the bones come from.
Enjoy life… Stay healthy!
